An access profile determines the access level(s) granted for menus in all modules. It determines what a user can see and modify. While the access profile is for all modules as a whole, the permissions may vary from one module to another. For example, one type of access profile could provide complete read/write access to all windows found in a particular module while disallowing access of any kind to the other modules.

The permissions range from 0 (the most restrictive) to 7 (the least restrictive). An access profile is then assigned to a user in the User Names and Access window.
