What's New
New Features and Enhancements
Pavement Express
- Users can uncheck the Deteriorate checkbox in the Analysis Column window to stop the detailed results workflow related to deterioration. When unchecking this checkbox, the workflow is undone including the removal of the newly added column from both the detailed results window and the database.
- Segment Strength (SEGMENT_STRENGTH) and Segment Thickness (SEGMENT_THICKNESS) are now part of the standard data set. These attributes can be imported, stored, and used in analysis and decision trees.
- Pavement Condition Rating (PCR) is now supported as a standard condition index. Customers who use PCR can now import PCR data to be used in analysis and model assignments.
Maintenance Manager
- Users can now enter locations and asset details in the Detail pane after inserting a new work request in the Work Request header pane without first saving the work request or reloading the window. The Work Request Details Assets field drop-down in the Work Requests window has been updated to use the Asset Type currently selected on the work request parent record instead of a lookup based on the work request ID.
Structures Inspector Web Application
- Users can now open the Condition Documentation for Selected Element pop-up window and add or delete condition notes, associated photos and sketches for the selected element using the Condition Notes, Photos, and Sketches feature in the Element Rating tab of the Current Inspections window.
Structures Inspector Mobile Application
- The app now supports OpenID/SSO authentication on Windows/UWP, Android, and iOS. Where OpenID/SSO is enabled, users are now able to log using the e-mail address associated with their UserID account from the Usernames and Permissions window in the AMS web app.
Work Manager
- Within a selected Asset's Inspection menu, users can now return to the Inspection to enter further details after creating or completing a work order or work request upon the Inspection Asset.
- Create Work Request and Create Work Order will be shown on the Inspection Action screen when work orders and requests are enabled within the config file and project-activities data exists for the asset type being inspected.
Platform
- Added Tomcat's CSRF (Cross Site Request Forgery) Prevention support into the system. By default this feature is turned on for all customers, but can be turned off in web.xml configuration (not recommended). For more details about CSRF, please visit https://owasp.org/www-community/attacks/csrf
- With this enhancement, re-using the same session in multiple tabs (i.e., by using the "Duplicate Tab" function in a browser, or directly coping the URL and using it in a new browser tab) will likely result in the CSRF nonce expiring and one of the tabs becoming invalid and unusable. The correct way to open a new session is using the "Create new session" feature in the system, or, if using the classic UI, mid-clicking a menu.
- [Warning] If the default configuration in web.xml is incorrectly changed, the filter will block valid requests, resulting in the application being unusable. Therefore, changing the default CSRF configuration in web.xml is strongly discouraged.
- Data Query tool enhancement
- Add data export feature: query result can now be exported in csv, xls and xlsx format.
- Add timeout feature: When a query runs for longer than 3 min, it will terminate the query's connection and prevent the query from overloading the system.
- The query result is limited to 10,000 records to prevent the query from overloading the system.
- Add data export feature: query result can now be exported in csv, xls and xlsx format.
Other Improvements and Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector web has been resolved and the Add New Span, Delete Span, and Add/Remove Bridge Elements menu items are not visible for a selected structure until the Edit Bridge button has been pressed in the Bridge Inventory window.
- Fixed: Issue in Roadways has been resolved and users now have the ability to grey out parent admin unit nodes in the admin unit tree in the Edit Shared Work Request Selection pop-up window. (Louisiana)
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager has been resolved and in the Work Order Sources > Work Request window, the Work Order ID Link column is now hyperlinked, and opens a pop-up to display the details for all work orders issued from the selected work request. (SCDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector mobile app has been resolved and using SSO to login to the Windows/UWP app no longer generates an authentication error. UWP uses an internal web browser for SSO authentication, which uses Internet Explorer. IE is not compatible with some OpenID authentication web pages so a custom browser-based authenticator was added to handle the UWP case.
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector mobile app has been resolved and the camera roll no longer displays non-image files which caused the app to crash when clicked. (NYSDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector web application has been resolved and in the Component Condition Rating tab of the In the Current Inspections window, the error check has been updated for the B.C.09, B.C.11, and B.C.14 fields. The fields now displays N instead of N - Not Applicable. (NYSDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Resources module has been resolved and where the Fulfill Order of Multiple Items to Requesting Admin Unit menu item in the Edit Material Requests window is used, if multiple stock bins of the material master code being transferred exist in the originating admin unit, the user will receive a pop-up window to allow them to select which stock bin should be used to supply the material being transferred. If no material stock is available to transfer the user will also get a notification.
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector web application has been resolved and in the Inspection Teams window, users can only view teams which are assigned to admin units they are able to login as.
- Fixed: Issue in System module has been resolved and Reports now display correctly and their permissions can be updated in the System > Reports > Manage Reports window. All reports in Agile Standard now have the Directory set correctly so they are viewable under the report tree.
- Fixed: Issue in Pavement Express has been resolved and segments with boundary PCI values now show the correct color coding on the map.
- Fixed: Issue in Pavement Express has been resolved and users are now able to add columns to the Analysis column window as needed.
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager has been resolved and the Inspection Type is now editable on the pop-up Create Inspection screen, also where only one value exists it is now automatically defaulted when creating an asset inspection from the Maintenance Assets screen.
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager has been resolved and when work order locations for assets like Sections are inserted in the Work Locations tab, using the Insert Element(s) from Map menu item in the Create Work Orders window, the asset layers now reference the asset_id correctly to the layer's defined OID. (OKDOT, AKDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager has been resolved and filtering using the Current FY or Previous FY filters now works correctly and the missing views for current_pay_period_vw and fy_dates have now been added.
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector web application has been resolved and when activity quantities are input in the Recommendations tab, the Total Cost is calculated for the recommended activities in the Current Inspection window. The 800 to 855 series bridge maintenance activities in the test data set have now been updated to include sample unit costs. (Standard Product)
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager, Pavement Express, and Pavement Analyst has been resolved and user can no longer use the Unassign Model from Node function on protected nodes of the performance model tree in the Performance Models window. To remove a model, the user must have permission to use the Protect/Release Model command on the node to remove its protected status after which they can unassign the model using the Unassign Model from Node command. Once a model is assigned it can also be protected to prevent it being unassigned accidentally.
- Fixed: Issue in Pavement Express has been resolved and the Resources module is no longer listed in the grid menu in the application.
- Fixed: Issue in Maintenance Manager has been resolved and the Update MMS Network Master system job (UpdateMmsNetworkMasterJob) now supports the processing of spatial inventory tables for an asset type where the spatial geometry field on the table is named something other than GEOM. Now this job includes all geometry columns regardless of how named, and asset inventories without any geometry can also be updated by the job.
- Fixed: Issue in Pavement Analyst, Pavement Express, and Structures Analyst has been resolved and the Setup Decision Trees windows in all Analysis modules now properly display the Decision Tree objects, when using the Modus or modern UI GUI, without generating a loading error.
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Manager has been resolved and data in the OSS windows is now access regulated to the logged in Admin Unit. (NYSDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector mobile app has been resolved and the NBI items screen now shows the same fields and data as the web app. (NYSDOT)
- Fixed: Removed the unnecessary error check on Inspections between component condition ratings B.C.14 - NSTM and B.C.09 - Channel Condition. (NYSDOT)
- Fixed: Issue in Structures Inspector web app has been resolved and the Bridge Inspection - Ongoing, and Quality Control windows, now display drop-down list fields with the lookup name shown correctly, where these columns have where clause restrictions applied.
- Fixed: Issue in System module has been resolved and the list of filters available in the system has been updated to include some missing filter types in the standard implementation.
- Fixed: Issue with new asset inspections created in the Work Manager app where Inspection Type is not defined (null) will now have that field default to Non-specific inspection (-1) value in the database table when synced through the API. When passed back to WM the API will continue to pass these with the null Inspection Type since the generic type is not selectable or a valid value in WM. This resolves the issue of these inspections not being visible in WM post-sync.
