The Asset Performance Inspection window is used to setup inspection for different asset types that needs routine check for defects. Once it is determined that a new inspection record needs to be made or an existing one needs modification, users with the proper security profile can add or edit the record. 

Asset Inspections

The objective of this lesson is for the participant to learn how to edit an existing inspection and/or create a new inspection.

At the end of this lesson, the user should be able to create a new inspection record as well as edit an existing inspection record.

In this example, we create a new inspection record  by performing the following steps below:

  1. Open the Maintenance Manager Asset Inspection window: Maintenance Manager > Asset Performance > Condition Surveys >Asset Inspections.
  2. Right-click in the Inspection Header pane and select Insert. A new record/row is inserted.
  3. Click the Asset Type dropdown and select the asset type of interest.
  4. Click the Asset dropdown and choose the appropriate asset.
  5. Click the NBIS 90 Inspection Date Calendar icon and choose the appropriate date (if applicable)
  6. Type the name of the person performing the Inspection in the Inspector field.
  7. Click the Inspection Status and choose a status.
  8. In the Route Name column, click on the Magnifying Glass icon and then select the route from the pop-up that appears.
  9. Click the Direction dropdown and select the correct direction.
  10. Click the Lane dropdown and choose the correct lane.
  11. Enter the correct values in the Offset, BMP, and EMP fields respectively.
  12. Click the Save button to save the record.
  13. Click Reload to refresh the page. The system refreshes and load the inspection Details pane with questionnaires pertaining to inspection.

The Maintenance Quality Assessment Survey window is configured to gather important information regarding the state of an asset.
