What's New

New Features and Enhancements

Maintenance Manager

  • To ensure a proper read-only control on the right-click action menus in Temporal View mode, a "Is Temporal Mode Enabled?" option has been added to all right-click action menu items. If checked, the right-click action menu will be enabled in Temporal View modes. The configuration works the same way as other right-click action menu options such as "Password Required" and "Confirm Required".

Structures Inspector

  • Records in Work Recommendation and Inspection Details tabs are ordered by the Record ID.
  • Work Recommendation validates updates and displays error messages to notify users of Activity and Priority required fields.

Mobile

  • SNBI Standards:
    • The Feature Crossed and Feature Carried tabs now have all fields required to be compliant with SNBI standards
    • Fields/Columns for the 2 - Features tab are populated and consistent with correspondent Bridge Inventory data.
    • The fields/columns for B.C.12 - Bridge Condition Classification, B.C.13 - Lowest Condition Rating Code, and B.G.16 - Calculated Deck Area are all automatically calculated and displayed in the SNBI Federal Report screen.
    • The sub-tab for '10 - Routes' and its fields have been added to the SNBI Report Preparation and Submission functionality.
    • It is now possible to select which bridges to include in the records by clicking the hyperlinked values for the Selected BINs column in the SNBI Submission tab. All bridges are included by default.
    • Fields/Columns needed for the 'Primary' category of data for the SNBI Federal Report are present in Bridge Inventory.
    • Drop-down values for fields/columns B.F.01 and B.H.03 now match values for both Bridge Inventory and SNBI Report screens.
  • Users can now find the Inspection Details tab that provides a workflow to view fields and their values, as well as inspection attachments in the Inspection List.
  • The Download Inspections screen now only displays inspections that have one of the following statuses:
    • Scheduled
    • On-going
    • Rejected by QC
    • Rejected by QA
  • When attempting to sync Inspection Details or Work Recommendations data that is missing one or more required fields, an error message appears and details which structure needs the missing data.
  • A Recommendations tab has been added which includes data synced with the Work Recommendations tab in the Structures Inspector web application.
  • If an inspection has an inspection type of Annual Visit, then only the Defects field is editable in the Flags tab. Other fields will reuse the information from previous detailed inspections for that structure.
  • Flags can be managed as part of the Inspection workflow, including attachments and review. Flags can also now be deleted through the mobile app.
  • The Document Library is now available in Work Recommendations and Inspection Details and can be used to manage attachments for the recommendation records.

Platform

  • A Skip? option is now available for the System Job configuration to allow selected steps/executables to be skipped.

    • The skipped steps are highlighted in the window.

    • When a user runs a system job that contains skipped step(s), a warning message will appear to inform the user that some steps are set to skip.

    • When a system job that has skipped step(s) completes, the execution logs pop-up window will contain a message indicating the specific step(s) were excluded from the run.

  • Temporal View feature is now able to support viewing and downloading historical attachments that are associated to the record. It follows the same work flow as the record's temporal work flow.
  • A new Concurrent Location: Subordinate window is now available in the System module. It can query the Dominant location from a known Subordinate location. The existing window, Concurrent Location has been renamed to Concurrent Location: Dominant, and continues to query the Subordinate location from a known Dominant location.

Other Improvements and Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: Issue in System module has been resolved and the layer selection screen used when clicking on Expand in ArcGIS Service Import the screen no longer appears blank.
  • Fixed: Issue in Pavement Analyst has been resolved and the Staging Profiler data window is now a paginated data window so the page loads correctly. Filters are not currently required and all data from the Staging Profiler table will load. (NYSDOT)
  • Fixed: Issue in System module has been resolved and the Create Asset View is done. message is now shown when the job is finished.

Known Issues, Limitations, and Restrictions

New Known Issues

  • In Resources, "Enter Time Simple" allows Overlapping Day Cards on the Timesheet window. (AKDOT)
  • In Structure Manager, newly submitted Repair Requests skips the QC workflow and appears directly in the QA window. (NYCDOT)
  • In Roadway, nothing appears when inserting new inventorу elements through the Work Order window. (KYTC)
  • In System module, when a Migrate selected report or Revert iReport migration is selected for a report, the report is not highlighted afterwards and a different report is highlighted instead.
  • In Maintenance Manager, when making changes to an inspection and then removing attachment, all changes made prior to save are cleared.
  • In Pavement Analyst, when creating a scenario with a Constraint Limit Value that is blank or 0, an error message appears even though the scenario runs successfully. (AKDOT)
  • In Work Manager, if the internet connection is interrupted during a sync, the sync will fail.

Resolved Known Issues

  • In Reports, when migrating iReport to Jasper Server, the migration process creates a datasource called "For migrated iReports". However, this generated datasource now uses the correct database.
  • Temporal view feature now supports historical attachments when the attachments are saved using folder in a local or network drive, or a 3rd-party file storage service.

Existing Known Issues

Note: Issues will be removed from the list after one full major release.

  • JasperReports Server 9.0.0 Upgrade

    • When there is a filter configured on the dashboard, if there are no values selected by the filter, the dashboard will not return any results. (on v7.8.0, when there is no value selected in the dashboard's filter, all values will be returned). This is the JasperServer Report behavior in v9.0.0 and cannot be reverted by AgileAssets.
    • When a dashlet used in the dashboard is set to show title, the dashlet will appear to be cropped at the bottom. The fix is to set the dashlet object to not show title (this setting can be found by opening the specific dashlet for editing, such as the Ad Hoc View, and turn off "Show Title"), and then display the desired dashlet title in the "Dashlet name" setting (this setting can be found by opening the dashboard for editing, select the dashlet, and then set the "Dashlet name" property under the "Dashlet Settings"). This is the JasperServer Report behavior in v9.0.0 and cannot be reverted by AgileAssets.
    • If there are multiple very large reports (report's XML >30Mb), it is recommended to export these reports, remove them from the server, run the upgrade, and then import these reports back. This is to avoid significantly long upgrade time.
  • In System module, pages under the Save (not used) file path fail to open and generate an error message. (ITD)
  • In Roads and Highways module, Utilities page fails to open when clicked in the menu. Page still accessible through direct URL. (ITD)
  • When two users are logged in using the same device and same browser in a non-SSO setting, the first user is logged out.
  • In Pavement Management module, when adding the Functional Class ID column to the Target Table, the column is not added. (ITD)
  • In Fleet Management module, when opening the Fleet Management Standard Dashboard in either Jasper Server or ams-web and choosing one or more parameters in Equipment class an error message is being generated. The error disappears when the Equipment distribution tab is deleted.
  • In Pavement Management module, clients should set the toggle for Show Title to off for dashlets that do not display fully and are cut off at the bottom. (TXDOT)
  • When using OpenID-based SSO, a GIS Explorer map window or widget, such as bound map, will time out and present a 401 error one hour after logging in. Logging back in will work around this issue.
  • In Facilities Maintenance, the Assign Crew Members button is currently displayed outside of the screen margins. (OHDOT)
  • In Facilities Manager, in the Building Inventory window it is currently possible to delete a record with dependent data. A warning is displayed but the record can still be deleted. (NYSDOT)
  • In System module, running the Run Equipment Odometer Update Job - Fleet system job currently generates an error. (OHDOT)
  • In Work Manager mobile app, when editing an open text field with text already present, the cursor automatically appears at the beginning of the text instead of at the end. If the user taps in the field a second time, the cursor will appear where they tap.
  • In Maintenance Manager, when a user attempts to delete a quick filter they have created it generates an error.
  • In Work Manager mobile app on Android devices, on initial log in the app shows the wrong page and freezes. Subsequent logins work correctly.
  • In Work Manager mobile app on iPhone, when selecting an asset with a long name, the line item expands and partially hides the asset below it.
  • In Work Manager mobile app on Google Pixel 6 Pro (Android 14), the map currently cannot be zoomed in or out on. Users can still search for a location and the map will automatically move to it. (AKDOT)
  • In Work Manager mobile app, when entering numbers into the Patch Length field, the highlight and cursor default to the wrong field. User must tap Patch Length in the panel to the right to enter numbers correctly. (AKDOT)
  • In Fleet Maintenance Manager mobile app, decimal numbers are not currently allowed in the Mileage field.
  • In all applications, the Copy Rows to Clipboard CSV and Copy All to Clipboard CSV functions currently copy the IDs as opposed to the lookups.
  • In Structures Inspector web application, using the Apply Changes function in the BRIDGE_INVENTORY row of the Tables pane currently generates an error.
  • In Work Manager mobile app, when creating a new Accomplishment Day Card on an activity that does not have a Unit assigned the sync fails.
  • In Fleet & Equipment Manager, user cannot currently uncomplete and then complete a Repair Order created using the Issue Material to Vehicle function. (OKDOT)
  • In Maintenance Manager, in the Location/Asset tab of the Create New/In Progress window when adding an asset to a work order, after saving the asset is still highlighted on the map and its data is still showing in the left pane.
  • In Maintenance Manager, when creating a new inspection from an existing item in the Maintenance Assets window, the Inspector column is not populating correctly.
  • In Maintenance Manager, attempting to create an asset inspection from the Maintenance Assets screen currently generates an error. Users can still create the inspection using the Sign Inspection window. (NVDOT)
  • An error is currently generated when trying to access the following API endpoints in a load balanced environment with SSL terminated before the application server: <context>/rest/v1/applicationPretty.wadl, <context>/rest/v2/applicationPretty.wadl, and <context>/rest/scim/applicationPretty.wadl
  • In System module, an error is currently generated when attempting to refresh database structure tables from the database. (NVDOT)
  • In System module, an error is currently generated when attempting to run the Pavement Analyst: Recreate Pavement Structure job. (DELDOT)
  • In Maintenance Manager, an error is currently generated when attempting to Insert a new or Insert Like record and save it in the Maintenance Assets table. (NVDOT)
  • In Maintenance Manager, when creating a new Work Order in the Annual Work Plan window, an invalid column error message appears. The Work Order is still created and the Work Target has a new record with some of the fields populated. (SCDOT)
  • In Maintenance Manager, the Employee Daycards pane and Employee drop-down menus are not always populating the full employee list available to the signed in admin unit. (SCDOT)
  • In Work Manager app, if a user does not tap Save before navigating away from their changes, then edits and new records are not saved, and the user is not warned. (NYSDOT)
  • In Maintenance Manager, in the Create New/In Progress window and the In-House Projects window when using the date picker to select a Start Date or End Date for a record that is not highlighted, the date picker closes too quickly to be used. Selecting the date picker a second time opens it.
  • In Resources module, the Edit Sign Orders page currently generates an error when opened.
  • In Work Manager, if the admin unit an asset is assigned is changed several times the asset will disappear from the correct admin unit's map display. If the admin user deletes and re-installs the app again, the asset will display correctly.
  • Incorrect Structure is highlighted when calculating risk for the "Selected Structure" on Risk Assessment window. (BMS)
  • Point features are not highlighted on the map after selecting them in Day Cards window. (INDOT)
