To add a new layer to an existing construction history record, use the following steps:

  1. Open the Construction History window.
  2. In the Construction History Sections pane, display the road section to which layer information will be added.
  3. In the Material Layer Information pane, right-click and select Insert. A new record is added to the pane.
  4. In the new record in the Material Layer Information pane, click in the Layer column and then type the ID code for the layer. The value entered for a layer ID can be any two-digit number (other than 99) that designates the vertical position of the layer, with the smallest number indicating the top layer.
  5. In the Material Code column, click the down arrow and select the material for the layer. (Milling is treated as a layer and so you must select a material ID code for the removed material.)
  6. In the Thickness column, type the thickness of the layer. (Enter a negative value for milling thickness.)
  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for any additional layers.
  8. When all layers are entered, click the  icon to save the new information.
