The crash filters will be used identify the scope of the screening using filters. In order to add a Crash Filter, follow these steps:

1.Navigate to Setup Crash Filter window (Safety Analyst > Setup > Screening > Crash Filter ).


Note: If an attribute is needed to be considered in a crash filter: the following three conditions MUST be fulfilled.

The process of adding the crash filter column is an administrative function and described in the Safety Configuration Guide.

  • Column must be introduced in SETUP_COLUMN_ID (i.e. System>Utilities>Column) table.
  • Column must be added in the SMS_CRASH_DATA table.
  • Column should be selected as a 'Crash Scope Filter' variable in the Screening Columns window

2. Right-click Insert.

3. Right-click Edit Crash Scope. The filter pop-up opens 


Note: The following are the exceptions

  • Crash filter works as standard AgileAssets filter
  • Multiple fields are supported and connected by 'AND' in this case

4. Select the attributes and click OK.

5. Click SAVE button to save the new crash filter.
