After a work order is created, the labor, equipment, and material resources needed to complete the work order must be assigned. Use the following steps:

  1. In the Work Orders pane, select the desired work order.
  2. In the Labor tab, assign employees and equipment to the selected work order. You can do this two ways:
    1. In the Employee Shortlist pane, assign each employee or equipment item individually by selecting the check box next to the name of the employee or equipment.
    2. In the Work Orders pane, if a crew is shown in the Responsible Crew column, right-click the name of the crew and select Assign Crew Members. This assigns all employees in the crew as well as equipment used by the crew to the work order.
  3. If you did not use the Assign Crew Members command, select the Equipment tab. Then, in the Equipment Shortlist pane, assign equipment to the selected work order by selecting the check box next to the name of each piece of equipment.
  4. Select the Material tab.
  5. In the Material Shortlist pane, assign materials to the selected work order by selecting the check box next to the name of the needed materials.
  6. If you have any direct costs associated with this work order, select the Costs and Accomplishments tab.
  7. In the Direct Costs pane, right-click and select Insert. A row is added to the table.
  8. Complete the row as required.
  9. Select Save Data .
