Before you can create a calendar of working and non-working days, you must create a template that defines working days and the amount of working hours in each day. Since a template requires a rule, the rule must exist in the Calendar Type Setup window (and for it to exist in that window, the rule's Groovy script must exist in the Groovy Script window as a Calendar type Groovy script).

To create a new template for a custom calendar, use these steps:

  1. Open the Custom Calendar window.
  2. Right-click in the left pane and select Insert. The system adds a new record to the table in the left pane.
  3. In the Calendar Name column of the new record, highlight the default name and enter the name for the template.
  4. In the Default Calendar Rule column, click the down arrow. The system displays the list of available rules for defining work days.
  5. Select the desired rule.
  6. In the Hours per Day column, enter the number of hours in each working day. (This value should be the same as that in the rule.)
  7. Click .
