Before you can create a calendar of working and non-working days, you must create a template that defines working days and the amount of working hours in each day. Since a template requires a rule, the rule must exist in the Calendar Type Setup window (and for it to exist in that window, the rule's Groovy script must exist in the Groovy Script window as a Calendar type Groovy script).
To create a new template for a custom calendar, use these steps:
- Open the Custom Calendar window.
- Right-click in the left pane and select Insert. The system adds a new record to the table in the left pane.
- In the Calendar Name column of the new record, highlight the default name and enter the name for the template.
- In the Default Calendar Rule column, click the down arrow. The system displays the list of available rules for defining work days.
- Select the desired rule.
- In the Hours per Day column, enter the number of hours in each working day. (This value should be the same as that in the rule.)
- Click .
