The Crews window allows you to create or modify a crew and assign employees and equipment to the crew. Crews are useful when a group of employees use the same equipment to regularly perform a work activity because it makes creating work orders easier. When the work order is created, you only need to assign the crew to the work order instead of assigning each employee individually and then assigning the equipment that will be used.
The Crews window contains three panes:
- Assigned Employees: This pane lists all employees in your labor shortlist. The names of the work crews appear as column heads. An employee's inclusion in a work crew is denoted by a check mark in the work crew's column. (If an employee is removed from the labor shortlist, he or she will no longer appear here even if the person is assigned to a crew.)
- Assigned Equipment: The left side of this pane lists all equipment in your shortlist. The top of the pane shows the existing crews. A check mark in a check box below the name of the crew indicates that the piece of equipment shown on the left is assigned to the crew. (If a piece of equipment is removed from the equipment shortlist, it will no longer appear here even if it is assigned to a crew.)
- Crews: This pane lists all work crews available to your administrative unit.
