The Current Work Order tab shows pending and active repair orders for equipment being repaired at a commercial (non-agency) garage. Pending repair orders are those that are authorized, but not yet started. Active repair orders are those that are authorized and underway.
Information is displayed in this tab by typing either the full (and exact) name in the Equipment Name field or by entering the vehicle identification number (VIN). After typing either the name or the VIN, select and the system takes one of the following actions:

  • When an open commercial repair exists for the vehicle, it is displayed.
  • When no open commercial repairs exist for the vehicle, then the pane remains blank. However, upon selecting the Insert command, a repair order for that vehicle is created and default data for the repair order appears in the pane.
  • When the entered Equipment Name or VIN does not exist, then an error message appears.

Commercial Repair Order Pane

The Commercial Repair Order pane shows pending and active repair orders for the equipment identified at the top of the tab.

Note: The commands found on the right-click shortcut menu (such as Insert) will not become available until a vehicle or piece of equipment is identified via the fields at the top of the window. You can only create repair orders for vehicles and equipment that already exist in the equipment inventory database.

Work Order Details Pane

The Work Order Details pane shows the repair activities that will be performed for the repair order displayed in the Work Orders pane. Columns are provided for specifying the repair activity, date that work was done, labor cost, material cost, and comments. These details will later be checked in the Verification window to verify that the authorized repairs were indeed performed.
