To edit the labor, equipment, and material Day Cards of a work order for a specific day, use the following steps:

  1. Open the Daily Log window.
  2. In the date field in the upper left of the window, if necessary, enter the date for which information will be entered. (The default date is today.) To assist you in selecting another date, select the calendar icon. This displays the Calendar window. If the year and/or month need to be changed, modify these as needed first. Then, when the month and year are correct, click the desired date to select it and close the Calendar window.
  3. Select Reload . The work orders with Day Cards that are active on the entered date will be displayed, and the tabs will be updated with the identification numbers for these work orders.
  4. Check the list of work orders. If you want to add a work order to the pane, right-click the pane and select Edit Selection. This command displays a dialog box that shows all active work orders with Day Cards. Click the Select check box for the desired work order(s) and select OK. The selected work orders will be added to the Work Orders pane.
  5. In the Labor tab, edit the hours for the selected date for the employee(s) where applicable.

    Note: The numbers with a green background have been approved earlier: any changes can only be made after these numbers have been disapproved.
    Note: If you enter a value that exceeds the Max Hours Allowed threshold set in the Labor Class Codes window, the system displays a message asking you if this is correct. Click OK to indicate that the entered value is correct or click Cancel to clear the field (and then enter the correct amount of hours).
  6. Provided you have the proper authority, right-click and select the desired approval command to approve the changes. The color of the number will change to green.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for equipment and material, remembering to include mileage for equipment and appropriate units for materials.

    Note: If you want to add resources from your shortlist to the Equipment and/or Material tab, right-click the appropriate tab and select Edit Selection. This command displays a dialog box that shows your shortlist. Click the Select check box for the desired resource(s) and select OK. The selected resources will then be shown in the tab. (If this is a FEMA-related work order, check the hours shown in the FEMA Information window by right-clicking the hours and selecting FEMA Details.)
  8. Select the Accomplishments tab.
  9. For every work order shown in the drop-down list, check to see that a row for the work order is shown in the table.
  10. Set the daily work accomplished value for each work order shown in the table.
  11. Approve each record by selecting the check box in the Approve column.
  12. Select Save .
