Summit allows you to drill down into your data using Explore Mode. For example, if you want to see a breakdown of costs from different sources, you could create a metric measuring costs by department as a bar chart, and then add a drill down by employee name. When looking at the bar chart it will show the cost for each department, and then when you click on a bar, it will filter the data by that department, and show the cost for each employee within that department. You can add as many drill down levels as you want.

To add a drill down, use the following steps:

  1. Open the Interactions tab on the right side.
  2. Select Add Drill Down. Drill downs can be used with any data type.
Note: Metrics in a Workbook act as a filter instead of a drill down path. You can only see the drill down while viewing the metric individually or in explore mode.
