Periodic Maintenance (PM) is defined and maintained in the PM by Class Code and PM by Inventory windows. These windows specify the recurring maintenance activities that are needed for a class of asset type or a particular inventory item.
Configure the time when the maintenance activities are to occur by creating a trigger in these windows. When a PM request is triggered, the system displays the PM requests in this window.
You can then select a particular PM request, create work orders for this request or add the work to an existing, pending work order, and activate the work order when work commences.
Note: A PM request where the PM trigger is 'N days' is only triggered when the elapsed time between today's date and the scheduled start date of the active work order for the inventory item and activity is greater than N.
