The Manage Reports window lists all reports currently available in all modules of the system. The window contains two panes:

  • The left side of the window shows all reports organized by module and then by user within each module. Each user's folder shows those reports that appear in the user's My Reports folder in the module's Reports window.
  • The right side of the window shows all reports without regard to module or user. The check boxes in this pane are informational only and cannot be edited directly.

When you select a report in the left pane, the corresponding record for the report is also selected in the right pane. (The converse is not true.) You can also "drag and drop" a report from one folder to another folder within the same user folder or between the folders of different users. When you move a report from one user to another user, the system changes the report owner to be the user where the report now resides.
The system displays context menus when you right-click a folder or a particular report in the left pane, with the contents of the menus differing depending on what you right-clicked. These context menus contain the common commands along with the following special commands:

  • Copy: This command creates a copy of the selected report and places it in buffer memory. You can then right-click the folder in which the copy of the report is to be placed and click Paste from the shortcut menu to place the copied report in the desired folder.
  • Cut: This command removes the selected report from its current location and places it in buffer memory. You can then right-click the folder in which the report is to be placed and click Paste from the shortcut menu to place the report in the desired folder.
  • Make Report Private: This command takes a public report and makes it solely available to the report owner. It removes the copy of the report from the Public folders of all users and removes the check mark from the check box in the Public column of the table in the right pane.
  • Make Report Public: This command places a copy of the selected report in the Public folders of all users and places a check mark in the check box in the Public column of the table in the right pane.
  • Paste: This command places the report currently in buffer memory in the selected folder.
  • Show Report: This command displays the selected report in a new browser window.
Note: For the Delete commands for folders, you can only delete empty folders.
Note: When you insert a new folder with the Insert Directory command, you can change the default name of the new folder by double-clicking the displayed name.
