The Material Reconciliation window is used to make stock reconciliations for a warehouse. This includes freezing and unfreezing (sometimes called locking and unlocking) material transaction approvals for the part of the warehouse undergoing reconciliation.

During reconciliation, material transactions can take place, but they cannot be approved (because that is when stock amounts are adjusted).

Note:

Only one reconciliation effort can occur within a warehouse at a time.

The purpose of this lesson is for the participant to learn how the Material Reconciliation process works.

At the end of this lesson, the user should be able to perform a "Material Reconciliation" successfully in the system.

In this example, a material reconciliation is performed by doing the following steps:

1.Open the Material Reconciliation window: Resources > Materials > Material Reconciliation.

2. Right-click in the Reconciliation pane and select Insert. A new row/record is added in the pane along with a pop-up Material Class Code window that appears.

3. In the Material Class Code window, select the material for reconciliation by clicking the checkbox next to it. Click the OK button when done. The Material is then added in the Mat. Class Code pane.

4. Click the Correction Reason dropdown and choose the appropriate reason. Add you comments in the Comments field (if applicable)

5. Right-click in the Reconciliation pane again and select Freeze Reconciliation

6. Next, click on the Count tab to access the (count) window.

7. For each material stock, make the necessary updates to the "CURR AMOUNT REC" and/or "UNIT COST REC". Add comments in the Comments field (if applicable). Click the Save button to save the record.

8. Click on the Freezing tab again to access the (Freezing) window.

9. Right-click in the Reconciliation pane and select Complete Reconciliation. The system automatically saves the transaction.

10. Click on the Count tab again to review the completed reconciliation.
