The PM Schedule pane on the right shows the PM activities (and when those activities are to occur) for the equipment type selected in the Class Codes pane. What you are allowed to do in this pane depends on whether the PM schedule is for the selected equipment type (in which case the square beside the name of the equipment type has a check mark) or is inherited from the next-highest equipment type in the hierarchy (in which case an empty square is shown beside the name of the equipment type):
- When a check mark is shown, you can add, modify, or delete any of the information in the PM Schedule pane.
- When an empty square is shown, the displayed information is read-only.
In the PM Schedule pane, the Activity column shows the PM activity to be performed. The PM Trigger and PM Parameters columns specify when the activity is to occur. The triggers can be one of the following:
- Perform After N Days or After M Meter: The activity is performed after a user-defined number of days elapses or when the difference between the meter reading when the PM activity was last performed and the current meter reading reaches a user-defined value (whichever occurs first).
- Perform After N Days: The activity is performed after a user-defined number of days elapses.
- Perform After N Meter: The activity is performed when the difference between the meter reading when the PM activity was last performed and the current meter reading reaches a user-defined value.
After selecting a trigger, the system displays a dialog box so you can enter the user-defined value or values. The values are displayed as numbers in the PM Parameters column in the format D;M (where D is the number of days and M is the meter reading). For example, performing an activity after 90 days or 3000 miles would display as 90;3000 and performing an activity after 1000 hours of use would display as 1000.
When you right-click an activity, the system displays a shortcut menu. This menu provides the common commands along with the following special command:
- Define Argument(s): This command allows you to modify the values shown in the PM Parameters column. When this command is selected, a dialog box opens that is appropriate for the type of PM trigger. Enter the new value(s) and select OK to update when the activity is to be performed.
