Performance Measures are used to assess the “safety performance” of each of the sub-segments generated as a result of profile creation. Consequently the performance of the network element (or main location) is also measured through these performance measures. The HSM (HSM, 2010) defines a standard set of performance measures. In addition to these, a custom set of performance measures can be identified and
defined. Performance measures are setup in the AgileAssets system as part of the System Setup/Configuration, but can be changed by a Safety System Administrator.
During Network Screening, performance measures are calculated for each network element by first calculating performance measures for each of the sub-segments in the network element’s profile and then aggregating/summarizing the calculations for the network element. The performance measures determine the effectiveness of safety policies implemented. Within the Agile Assets System, the performance measures are defined in the Screening Columns window (Safety Analyst > Setup > Screening > Screening Columns). The segments can be sorted based on particular performance measure.
The following list of performance measures will be available in the facility screening:
