After running the Build Safety Profile Location command or clicking the Create Profile command button, the system uses the data configured for the selected profile to create the main and secondary locations for the selected profile. Only the Peak Searching and Sliding Window screening methods result in secondary locations. In these methods, the system further divides the primary segments (shown in the Main Profile Locations pane) into smaller sub-segments, with these smaller sub-segments termed secondary locations. (This is why the Simple Ranking screening method does not result in secondary locations — in this method, the system does not further divide the primary segments.)
