The Performance Guidelines pane shows Performance Guideline information for the work order selected in the Work Orders pane. The displayed information is based upon the stored Performance Guideline for the work order's activity, the value in the Plan Amount column, and the labor assigned to the work order. The values shown in this pane are derived as follows:

  • Description and Purpose: The information provided below this header describes the work order's activity and provides steps to accomplish this activity. This information cannot be edited without assistance from AgileAssets.
  • Estimated Man-Hours: The number of hours shown in this field is calculated by multiplying the work order's Plan Amount by the Performance Guideline man-hours (which is not necessarily the value shown in the Performance Guidelines window; see the note in Plan Matrix for more information).
  • Estimated Unit Cost: The dollar value shown in this field is calculated by multiplying the work order's Plan Amount by the stored Performance Guideline unit cost (which is not necessarily the value shown in the Performance Guidelines window; see the note in Plan Matrix for more information).
  • Suggested Duration: The number of hours shown in this field is calculated by dividing the Estimated Man-Hours value by the number of employees assigned to the work order.

When you right-click the Performance Guidelines pane, a shortcut menu is displayed. This menu contains the common commands along with the following special command:

  • Refresh Performance Guideline Info: Using the value in the Plan Amount column of the Work Orders pane and the assigned labor resources, this command re-calculates cost and duration information for the work order selected in the Work Orders pane. The re-calculated information is displayed in the Performance Guidelines pane.
  • Set Duration: This command displays a dialog box, which you use to set the duration of the activity. This in turn causes the system to re-calculate the information shown in the pane.
