The Insert command adds a blank record to a table. The system highlights the record in green to denote that the record is not yet saved. In the new record, required fields are marked by an asterisk (star) to the left of the field name.

Note:  For windows that show a tree view and a table view, the command Add Branch Branch is used instead of Insert.
