The PM by Class Code window establishes preventive maintenance (PM) activities for a type of equipment ("class code"). In some instances, however, this generalized approach does not work for a particular piece of equipment. PM by Inventory allows you to override the PM schedule established for the class to which a piece of equipment belongs and, instead, create a PM schedule just for a particular piece of equipment.
