To create a work request (WR) from an Asset pane, follow the steps below:
- Choose an asset either by selecting it from the list of available assets or by locating it on the map and clicking on its icon there.
- Click Issue Work Request in the map pane.
- An Insert Work Request pop-up will appear with the following fields:
- WR# - automatically filled with existing asset information
- Administrative Unit - automatically filled with existing asset information
- Assigned Admin Unit - select a unit from the drop-down menu
- WR Status - select a status from the drop-down menu
- Asset Type - automatically filled with existing asset information
- Reported Date/Time - automatically fills with the current date and time
- Asset - automatically filled with existing asset information
- Work Request Name - required field in which you can name your work request
- Work Request Type - select a type from the drop-down menu
- Description - optional field in which you can explain the work request
- Comments - optional field in which you can leave additional information about the work request
- Att. - double-click to add an attachment to the work request. In the pop-up window, right click to view your options about where to pull the file from.
- User Update - automatically filled with current user name
- Date Update - automatically filled with current date
- Click OK
