The Objective of this lesson is for participants to understand the workflow of how a project is moved from one status to another.

At the end of this lesson, the user should be able to update the status of a Project from the initial phase of "Draft" to "Complete".

A Project is first created in the Compose Project window (found under the Project Composition menu) with the default status of Draft. Once the project setup is complete, the status is then updated.

1.Project Statuses Workflow - Click Here for Project Status Exercises

For this example, we will use the workflow to move an existing project from the status of "Draft" to "Complete" by performing the following steps:

1. Open the Project Composition window: Safety Analyst >  Projects > Project Composition.

2. Assuming that the draft project (record) setup is complete, click on the Project Status drop-down and select Proposed for the record that is to be updated. Click the Save button to save the record.

3. Next, open the Proposed Projects window: Safety Analyst > Projects > Proposed Projects

4. Assuming that the proposed project (record) setup is configured/completed, click on the Project Status drop-down (in the Proposed Project pane) and select Programmed to put the project in queue. When finished, click the Save button to save the record.

Note:

Note: A record status in the Propose Projects window can be changed to either "Programmed" or "Discarded" (if it is no longer needed).

5. Next, open the Programmed Projects window: Safety Analyst > Projects > Programmed Projects

6. Assuming that the Programmed Projects (record) setup is configured/completed, click the status Project Status drop-down and select Completed when the treatment project is complete. When finished, click the Save button to save the record.

Note:

Note: A record status in the Programmed Projects window can be changed to either "Completed" or "Discarded" (if it is no longer needed)

7. Next, open the Completed Projects window: Safety Analyst > Projects > Completed Projects

8. Find the project record of interest in the Completed Projects (upper) pane and click the Approved check-box when the treatment project is complete.

Note:

Note: A record status in the Completed Projects window can be changed to "Discarded" if it is no longer needed.
