The Objective of this lesson is for participants to understand how Diagnosis is setup and Run.

At the end of this lesson, the user should be able to setup and run a Diagnosis.

For this example, we configure and run a Diagnosis by performing the following steps:

1.Open the Diagnosis window: Safety Analyst >  Analysis > Diagnosis.

Note:

Records found in the (Diagnosis) Hotspot Location Details pane  comes from the Screening Hotspots pane. These records were previously select in the  Screening Hotspots pane as an option to be displayed in the Diagnosis window.

2. Next, in the top pane, click the Diagnostics Factor drop-down and choose a value.

3. Click the Diagnostics Period drop-down and select the desired time period for Diagnosis.

4. Click the Location Type drop-down and choose an option.

5. Click the Comparison Group drop-down and select a group.

6. Click the Jurisdiction drop-down and choose a Jurisdiction (if applicable).

7. Click the Functional Class drop-down and select a class.

8. Click the Run Diagnosis button to process the diagnosis.

9. A confirmation pop-up box appears when the process is complete.

10. The Group Comparison and Section Distribution panes are then updated with the results from the Diagnosis. Expand the Group Comparison pane to review the results.

11. Next, click on the Section Distribution tab to review the results.

12. Click the Select for Project check-box  adjacent to the record of interest if the location will need to be further analyzed in the Candidates for Project Location window.

13. Click the Save button to save the record.
