Mixing activities are done in work orders in which existing, raw materials are combined to make a new material. The Material Mixing window configures what new material is the result of a specific mixing activity work order and what activity must be assigned to that work order to make it applicable to mixing. The activity is selected from a drop-down list, which is configured in the Activity Window in the System module. Similarly, the new, mixed material is selected from a drop-down list, the contents of which are created and maintained in the Master Codes Window.
When a work order is created in the Day Cards window that results in a new, mixed material, the raw materials for the mix are shown as material Day Cards. The quantity of the new, mixed material appears as an Accomplishment Day Card. When the Accomplishment Day Card is approved, the stock bin for the mixed material is incremented by the amount of the Day Card. This information is also shown in the Daily Log window.
