The Motorpool Request window can be used to initiate a request to rent a vehicle. This window provides fields to record information about the type of vehicle to be rented and who will be renting the vehicle. Only pending reservations (that is, reservations to which a vehicle has not yet been assigned) are shown in this window.
When you right-click the window, the system displays a shortcut menu. This menu provides the common commands along with the following special commands:
- Make New Reservation: This command inserts a new record in the window. The New Reservation command button duplicates the function of this command.
The Motorpool Assign and Dispatch window can be used to assign a vehicle or update a request for a vehicle.

- Auto-Assign Vehicle and Check Availability and Assign Vehicle: These commands use the entered equipment class code to locate an available vehicle of the requested type and then assign this vehicle to the reservation. Once assigned, the ID number of the vehicle is shown in the Equipment field.
