The Performance Guidelines window shows the administrative unit that created the guideline, the resources required for the activity selected in the left pane, and the unit cost (in dollars) for the activity. It also shows the person-hours required for each unit of activity as well as the recommended number of employees to assign to the activity's work order.

Note: Because Performance Guidelines are inherited from your nearest "ancestor" in the organizational hierarchy, the Administrative Unit column may show the central office (in which case it is probably the default guideline set up at implementation). It may also be, for instance, your division (if a specific guideline has been set up separately for your division). If you have customized the guideline specifically for your administrative unit, this column will show your administrative unit.

Each module has its own set of Performance Guidelines. The activities that are shown in the Performance Guidelines window for a particular module are those activities associated with an asset type that is in turn associated with the module. This means that if an activity is not shown in the Performance Guidelines window, you add the activity to the window by using the Setup Asset Activity window in the System module to associate the activity with an asset type assigned to the module and then use the Insert command found in the right-click shortcut menu of the Performance Guidelines window. (An activity is removed from the Performance Guidelines window by deleting the record associating the activity with the asset type in the Asset Activity window.) See Add an Activity to the Activities Pane for more information on adding an activity to the window.
