The Roads and Highways Interface is a single-source linear referencing system (LRS) maintenance tool. It is designed to update the road network as well as the linear location of all assets and events associated with that network. The Roads and Highways system allows users to make changes to the roadway network from which the system then automatically updates the linear locations for assets and events. This is an extremely efficient way to maintain locations because a single LRS edit often necessitates hundreds of asset location edits.
Location is an important aspect of an asset management system. In order to decide how to best spend limited transportation management funds, it is important to know where these funds are needed. That is why the maintenance of asset linear locations is so important.
Roads and Highways provides functionality to maintain the linear locations within other AgileAssets modules.
