The procedure for inserting a new report into your My Reports folder (or one of its subfolders) is the same for the Tabular, Graph, Finest Partition, and GIS types of reports. You cannot insert a new report into the Public or Shared folders. See JasperReports for more information on those reports. Follow these steps to insert a new Tabular, Graph, Finest Partition, or GIS report:

  1. Display Open the Reports Management window.
  2. Right-click the folder in which the new report will appear and then click the Insert command appropriate for the type of report you will be creating.
    • For all types other than GIS Maps and Finest Partition, the system displays a dialog box so you can select the table or view from which the data for the report will be taken
    .
    • For GIS Maps and Finest Partition, the system simply inserts a new record
; go to step 5 to continue.
    • so the next two steps can be skipped
  3. In the dialog pop-up box, find the record showing the table or view from which the data for the report will be taken and then click this record to select it.
  4. Select OK. The system
This closes the dialog box pop-up and displays the new report in the folder that you right-clicked.
  5. You can double-click the name of the report and type a new name for the report.

  6. Click the Image Removed icon Save to save the new report.

You have created the record for the report, and now you must create the report itself.
