The Proposed Projects window in the Safety module shows the projects that are intended to remedy safety issues and are being considered for recommendation. Each proposed project may target one or more locations, and each location may have one or more treatments. The following panes are provided in this window:
Select Project Location: This command displays a dialog box with a list of possible locations for the selected proposed project. (The list of locations is taken from the Locations for Projects pane of the Safety Diagnostics Shortlist window.) You select the desired location by clicking a single record.
Note: While it is possible to select multiple records, only select one record because regardless of the number of records selected, the system will only insert one record. |
When you have all records selected, click the OK button to close the dialog box. The system then places the selected location in the Project Locations pane and also places a check mark in the Select column for the location. (You may also select the check box directly by clicking it. This is also how you de-select a selected location.)
Update Est. Project Locations Benefit/Cost: This command updates the benefit/cost values for all selected locations.
Project Treatments: For the location selected in the Project Locations pane, this pane shows the treatments to be applied.
Use the Project Status column in the Proposed Projects pane to move a project to the Recommended Projects window by setting the value of this column to Recommended. (If a project is no longer being considered for recommendation, set the value of this column to Discarded. It will then appear in the SMS Discarded Projects window.)
